OBITUARY

David McKay Timoteo, age 56, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026.

David was born on January 17, 1970. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, businessman, and mentor, he dedicated his life to serving others through his faith, his family, and his profession. For more than three decades, David built a reputation as a trusted accountant, financial advisor, consultant, tax professional, and educator. Through his work, he helped thousands of individuals, families, and business owners navigate important financial decisions and achieve greater confidence in their futures.

David was known for his larger-than-life personality, strong convictions, and straightforward nature. He never felt the need to soften the truth or tell people what they wanted to hear. Instead, he believed in honesty, accountability, hard work, and facing life's challenges head-on. Those who knew him understood that while he could be blunt, his words were often rooted in a genuine desire to help others grow and succeed.

David approached life with passion and enthusiasm. He was generous with his time, knowledge, experience, and mentorship, freely sharing what he had learned through decades of personal and professional experience. He loved teaching, coaching, and helping others recognize potential they did not yet see in themselves. His confidence, humor, determination, and unmistakable presence left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Above all else, David's greatest accomplishment was his family. He was a devoted husband to Myra Timoteo and a loving father to seven children: McKay Timoteo, Milton Timoteo, Malcolm Timoteo, Micah Timoteo, Maximus Timoteo, Magdalene Timoteo, and Matthias Timoteo. He was also a proud grandfather to Micah Timoteo, Sarote Timoteo, and Apollo Timoteo, each of whom brought him immense joy.

David's legacy extends far beyond his professional achievements. He will be remembered for his faith in Jesus Christ, his love for his family, his dedication to service, and his unwavering belief in helping others reach their full potential. His commitment to the gospel was evident throughout his life, including his service as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Melbourne, Australia, an experience that helped shape the man he would become. The lessons he taught, the lives he touched, and the example he set as a husband, father, grandfather, mentor, and friend will continue to influence generations to come.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at the
Green Valley Stake Center
410 Valle Verde Dr  Henderson, NV 89014

Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate David's life, honor his memory, and share in the legacy he leaves behind.

Following the funeral service, a burial service will be held at
Palm Eastern Mortuary & Cemetary
7600 S Eastern Ave Las Vegas, NV 89123

where David will be laid to rest.

The Timoteo family expresses their heartfelt gratitude for the love, prayers, support, and countless memories shared during this difficult time. David lived boldly, spoke honestly, loved deeply, and dedicated his life to helping others reach their full potential. The family invites those who wish to honor his memory to do so by embracing life's opportunities, investing in their families, pursuing their goals with determination, and helping others succeed along the way.

Hymn #86

How Great Thou Art

1.
O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder
Consider all the *worlds thy hands have made,
I see the stars, I hear the *rolling thunder,
Thy pow’r thru-out the universe displayed;

[CHORUS]
Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to thee,
How great thou art! How great thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to thee,
How great thou art! How great thou art!

2.
When thru the woods and forest glades I wander,
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees,
When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur
And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze,

[CHORUS]

3.
And when I think that God, his Son not sparing,
Sent him to die, I scarce can take it in,
That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin,

[CHORUS]

4.
When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation,
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart!
Then I shall bow in humble adoration
And there proclaim, “My God, how great thou art!”

[CHORUS]

Hymn #335

Brightly Beams, Our Father's Mercy

1.
Brightly beams our Father’s mercy, From his lighthouse evermore,
But to us he gives the keeping, Of the lights along the shore.

[CHORUS]
Let the lower lights be burning; Send a gleam across the wave.
Some poor fainting, struggling seaman
You may rescue, you may save.

2.
Dark the night of sin has settled; Loud the angry billows roar.
Eager eyes are watching, longing, For the lights along the shore.

[CHORUS]

3.
Trim your feeble lamp, my brother; Some poor sailor, tempest-tossed,
Trying now to make the harbor, In the darkness may be lost.

[CHORUS]

 Hymn #152

God Be With You Till We Meet Again

1.
God be with you till we meet again; By his counsels guide, uphold you;
With his sheep securely fold you. God be with you till we meet again.

[CHORUS]
Till we meet, till we meet,
Till we meet at Jesus’ feet,
Till we meet, till we meet,
God be with you till we meet again.

2.
God be with you till we meet again; When life’s perils thick confound you,
Put his arms unfailing round you. God be with you till we meet again.

[CHORUS]

3.
God be with you till we meet again; Keep love’s banner floating o’er you;
Smite death’s threat’ning wave before you. God be with you till we meet again.

[CHORUS]

"Though we mourn his passing, we rejoice in the knowledge that families can be together forever through Jesus Christ. We are grateful for the life, faith, and legacy of David McKay Timoteo and look forward to the day we meet again."
